We were thinking of prayer tonight at Church. Jesus instructed us to pray to our Father in heaven. It suddenly struck me what a wonderful thing it is that we can call God our Father. You see God is the perfect Father; the ever caring one. The one who is always available full of love and watching over us all the time. Not like human fathers who sometimes let us down.
So when I trusted my life to Jesus I became part of God's family and God became my Father. I was talking to a lady at lunch time today who said she was adopted. She was told by her adoptive parents that they had chosen her and that she was special. I pointed out that that is the same as God. The Bible says that we have been adopted into His family and that He has chosen us. What a wonderful thing that is. I have been chosen by God and He loves me with a perfect father's love.
